I requested a trim of my loose ends. My hair is long and has reached the middle of my back. I also asked for the hair over my ears to be trimmed, but not so that I had whitewalls. The stylist handled the loose ends well but did not limit the work to only around my ears; she shortened my hair about an inch higher. Needless to say, I cannot pull it back into a ponytail.
Afterward I noted that I would not be able to pull this section into a ponytail… All she said was no you will not, you shouldn’t have had it cut. I looked at her in a way I’m sure she assumed I was upset.
This will take years to grow back to the needed length!
The stylist claimed fourteen years of experience—really, at what job, clearly not cutting long hair.
I have received better haircuts at a cosmetology school with students cutting my hair.
For a senior to pay $20 and a tip for only a cut seems excessive. At the register I was told I received a senior discount… of $2! Why bother giving a discount?
I am sure you’ll understand, due to this experience, I will never have my hair cut by Great Clips again, it wasn’t a “Great Clip.”
It’s my recommendation for people with long hair to go elsewhere or ensure the stylist knows what they’re doing.
This experience has been very upsetting. It has taken me 7 years to get my hair to this length.
